Challenge: Military personnel preparing for assignments in overseas regions needed mission-ready language proficiency and cultural fluency, with limited time for training. Off the shelf training programs lacked relevant content and the scenario-based practice and authentic materials needed to build real-world communication skills under time pressure.

Solution: Designed and facilitated custom intensive 160-hour (four-week) programs combining live instruction, cultural immersion activities, scenario-based practice, and authentic materials including foreign-language news, professional briefing simulations, and interview formats. Structured each module around practical application: partner-nation interactions, diplomatic briefings, and travel-readiness scenarios. Conducted a full needs assessment prior to design and adapted curriculum across 30+ course iterations based on learner evaluation data and cohort-specific operational requirements. Delivered synchronously via Microsoft Teams across multiple concurrent cohorts spanning French, Arabic, and Spanish programs.
